Heat pump units will be installed in the residential units to avoid noise and air pollution to the interior environments and to maximize the energy-savings from the super-insulated exterior walls.  

In addition, a solar array will be included on the roof of the building to take advantage of the site’s southern exposure and provide an on-site alternative energy source.
