East New York Development Study

 

Affordable housing developers Omni NY have engaged Urban Quotient to study development options for a large site they own in East New York. Borrowing from the NextGen NYCHA plan, Omni is looking at using underutilized land currently dedicated to parking to build new affordable units. The study includes analysis of various zoning scenarios, schematic site plans, and building schematics. The project would enter ULURP in 2018 with the goal of entering the 2019 funding pipeline.

UQ to Design New Childcare Center

 

Cypress Hills Childcare Corporation (CHCCC) selected Urban Quotient to design a new facility for early learning. The project will be a gut renovations and adaptive reuse of a former funeral home, converting it into a vibrant and welcoming neighborhood institution. The new facility will house CHCCC’s administrative offices as well as five playrooms, a teaching kitchen, a rooftop playground, and shared community spaces. The project is in design with construction expected to begin in 2019.
